Memorial day is for veterans who have died. Veterans day is for all who have served. Of course, we can certainly be thankful for everyone who has, and does, serve, regardless of the day, and whether or not they have died, I just wanted to point out that many people confuse these two days (and it annoys some vets, just for the record). http://www1.va.gov/opa/vetsday/vetday_faq.asp
