Yet another "I'd buy that in a heartbeat" concept product seems to making the rumor rounds. This time, an iMac like docking "jacket" for a MacBook. Now that would be cool, and I would own one for sure.
AppleInsider has the scoop on a recently uncovered 2006 Apple patent filing for said device.
Currently I have a widescreen monitor that I plug my MacBook into at home. That works, but it is cumbersome to connect and reconnect every time, and the mess of wires drives me nuts. Sure there are a few docking stations out there, but they seem pretty clunky, and have a very hefty price. I think one from Apple, if it's anything like the patent drawings indicate, would be well received (even if expensive, with a monitor, lets say $300-$400 bucks?).
