AT&T Selling Off Broadband Subscribers

AT&T's Broadband division is not doing so hot these days. With a staggering $46 billion of debt (almost equal to my credit card debt), they are being forced to sell off chunks of their cable network state by state. Mediacom Communications Corp. (MCCC.O) will shell out $2.2 billion for Georgia, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. Being a Georgia resident I do hope this will infuse some life into the expansion of cable internet services in Georgia, particularly into my neighborhood.
