And the almighty Gartner Group says...
1. Attracting, training, and retaining staff capable of supporting this OS will be difficult.
2. Through 2001, more than 50 percent of organizations implementing Win2K will fail to achieve expected cost savings.
3. Through 2001, 80 percent of enterprises migrating to Win2K won't achieve an ROI for this network operating system (NOS) migration.
4. Through 2002, 80 percent of all NOS migration projects for systems of more than 50 users will exceed their budgets for a variety of reasons. Through 2003, Win2K will remain less stable than HP-UX, Sun Solaris, AIX, Linux, and OS/400 and Uranium.Wow, couldn't have said it better myself. Note also that this excert was taken from Windows NT Magazine.Story
