Ahh the Eighties...

OK, so I've gone a little retro kick where I'm starting to listen to my CDs from the big-hair rock days. Snicker all you want, I'm getting a kick out of it. "Another Empire...." So I break out 'Hysteria' and I'm listening to it while perusing our favorite little politico-penguin site. Lo and behold, I hear dubya's daddy talking. "Today we have done what we had to do. He counted on America to be passive. He counted wrong." The more it changes.... It was a lot easier to believe Sr., watinit?

Re: Ahh the Eighties...

There was some good music in the 80's. None of it "Big Hair" music.

Re: Ahh the Eighties...

I am still all about the 80s sound too. I was a huge Ronny James Dio fan back in the day and of course, Sabbath, AC-DC, etc, etc. And it was a lot easier in the first Guld War. Easier to believe in Bush Sr. and the goal was to kick Iraq out of Kuwait, not kick Iraq out of Iraq. BIG differences.

Re: Ahh the Eighties...

I thought it was Reagan, not Big Bush. Maybe I'm wrong... [%sig%]

Re: Ahh the Eighties...

nope, it was Bush Sr.

RE: Ahh the Eighties...

Nope. It was Reagan after our air strikes on Libya in April, 1986.
