Aggregator Update

Couple of things.. One, a few bugs have gotten fixed, and I corrected a bad database deal related to the privacy settings, so now the drop down list of feeds works again. Sorry about that. The RSS feeds for each of the feeds are still there, but there is a new feature at the top of the page to let you export your feed list to a test file or to an OPML file, suitable for importing into Sage or Bloglines or Akregator. It will also give you links to the TOTSP Cache server so that your composite clusters show up as a single composite feed in your newsreader! I will have an option for exporting to a Mozilla/Firefox bookmarks file soon. The big new feature on deck is the new "Podcast Download Tracker". Basically, I want to give users a single "Queue Feed" that merges all their podcast-style feeds that can be used with a podcatcher. Then, the system will track what podcasts you have downloaded and removed them from your Queue Feed. There will also be an option to get your "Queue Feed" as a shoutcast playlist, so, if you want to listen at your computer at work or whatever, you can just log in, click play and hear your new stuff. How about that, huh? I know Castor has had some issues with the TOTSP Screensaver GPF'ing on him under Windows XP. Honestly, I haven't tried it too roundly, but it works OK for me on Windows and FC4, though I admit the whole installation thing on Linux is kind of a pain. I am going to try and work on that and see if I can't get an RPM available with the next release. I know there are a couple of bugs in the screensaver, such as the last item in a feed dropping the "rotation" display. I will try and get that corrected and get a "release" up on the TOTSPCode page soon. At any rate, we are slowly moving towards the Java TOTSPCode base for production. Please, if you aren't using it, check out the new system and let me know when something is broken. The "blog" part of the penguin will likely remain in PHP for a while, but I have a checklist in place of things I need to do to transition the home page. I am going to look into a migration tool soon so that everyones "Aggregator" page will look like their curent PHP page. If you have a duplicate username between the two systems, and you care, please drop me an email and let me know which profile you would rather keep. Also, if you have any features that you would really want, feel free to ask.
