Review: iTunes for Windows

I'm still not sure iTunes for Windows is a good idea. IMHO, iTunes is one of those great Mac-Only apps that almost sells the platform. Porting it seems like it diminishes the Mac somehow, and MusicMatch already supported the Apple Music Store.
At any rate, iTunes for Windows is as good as you might expect, if a little buggy. Nearly all the Mac-side features are there and working. The Apple Music Store works, giving you the ability to purchase stuff online easily, though sharing over a network is a pain because of the DRM.
iTunes for Win has some bugs including: volume control not working with iTouch from Logitech, Importing a directory freezes if the directory contains an m3u file, and general slowness in updating ID3 tags.
Overall rating: 4.0 out of 5.2 penguin heads -- the best MP3 system for Windows I have seen even with the bugs.
