Survey of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Reviews: Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! (From Digg) Some of the reviewers comments were logical and others were not so. Several felt that the new product felt like a "catch up" rather than an innovation. I am not sure though how it could possibly NOT BE a catch up given that Microsoft dominated the browser market and then promptly abandoned it for 5 or so years until they were basically forced to respond to competitors who were/are indeed well ahead on features.
