This story has made the rounds at a few places. A new full sized virtual keyboard was demo-ed by Siemens at CeBIT that can provide virtually ANY device a full sized keyboard by projecting a light based (yep) keyboard onto a flat surface. Wow. This is truly amazing and useful. In terms of size and functionality and how they relate it is often the keyboard that causes problems, problem solved. For more info see the linked Yahoo story. I called siemens, because on there website the only thing i could find was this text ( translated from dutch) "Virtueel keyboard for mobile phones and palmtops, this autumn in store." as i read in the Lan Magazine (also dutch), it would cost about $60. And a guy at siemens told me the product most likely has a an inovation status, and the were not sure if was already for sale.... They will come back to me on that.

Neat and innovative. I can only wonder how well it will work though, as the tactile "feel" will be very different from that of a regular keyboard. I guess we'll have to wait and see how well it really works when it's finally released.

I think this stuff is awsome. I would personally prefer the authentic feel of the original type, but this is still really cool. A real advancement in inovation. Keep up the great work you are all doing.
