Another nice article at PHPBuilder about the extensibility of PHP. With the Java PHP extension and a little setup know-how you can employ any Java class from within PHP. The line becomes much less clear as to why you are using PHP if you do this, but hey, its still neat (if you start doing a lot of PHP Java extension, then think about JSP, it is also freely available and can run on multiple platforms.)
